3rd Day of 1st Regular Session: 3rd Pyithu Hluttaw’s 3rd Day of 1st Regular Session

The third day of the first regular session of the third Pyithu Hluttaw was held at 10:00 AM on March 24th at the Pyithu Hluttaw meeting hall in Naypyidaw. Out of the 373 Pyithu Hluttaw representatives entitled to attend, 371 were present.

According to the agenda, the Speaker of the Pyithu Hluttaw sought the Hluttaw 's approval regarding the formation of the Bill Committee and the formation of the Public Accounts Committee, which had been proposed the previous day.

During the meeting, the Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker clarified matters pertaining to the formation of the Hluttaw Rights Committee.

Subsequently, the Deputy Speaker clarified matters relating to the duties, authorities, rights, term, and committee meetings of the Hluttaw Rights Committee.

Following that, the Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker submitted to the Hluttaw a list of 15 representatives for the formation of the Hluttaw Rights Committee, including U Maung Maung Oo, the Pyithu Hluttaw representative from Tatkone constituency, as Chairman, and Dr. Kyaw Kyaw Htay from Dawei constituency as Secretary.

Afterwards, the Speaker clarified and submitted to the Hluttaw regarding the formation of a Scrutiny Committee for Guarantees, Pledges and Undertakings of the Government.

Then, the Deputy Speaker clarified and submitted information concerning the duties, authorities, rights, term, and committee meetings of the Scrutiny Committee for Guarantees, Pledges and Undertakings of the Government.

Next, the Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker submitted to the Hluttaw a list of 15 representatives for the formation of the Scrutiny Committee for Guarantees, Pledges and Undertakings of the Government, including U Than Tun U from Kengtung constituency as Chairman and U Than Tun from Pathein constituency as Secretary.

Today's meeting was adjourned at 10:35 AM, and it is reported that the fourth day of the meeting will continue on March 26th at 10:00 AM.
