







The introduction ceremony of the third Magwe Region Hluttaw was held at the Hluttaw Office on March 18. Chief Minister U Tint Lwin attended the event, and highlighted that in the recent general election, 46 representatives from four parties were elected, 33 from Union Solidarity and Development Party, 8 from National Unity Party, 3 from People’s Party and 2 from Shan & Nationalities Democratic Party.
In addition, 15 military representatives were appointed according to the constitution, making a total of 61 Hluttaw members. The Chief Minister emphasized that Hluttaw representatives must work together to carry out their main duties of legislation, representing the people, and oversight, following the Hluttaw motto: “The voice of the people, the voice of the Hluttaw.”
Members then introduced themselves, and reviewed the first and second Hluttaw sessions, office operations, budget laws, and preparation for the first regular session of the third Hluttaw. Questions and discussions followed, and the Chief Minister concluded by inspecting the Hluttaw hall’s readiness. The first regular session of the third Magwe Region Hluttaw will begin on March 20 with 18 agenda items.
