Opening of Riverbank Relaxation Area: SSPC members attended the opening ceremony

Member of State Security and Peace Commission General MaungMaung Aye, along with Commission Member Lt-Gen. YarPyae, Union Ministers, Mon State Chief Minister, Commander of Southeast Command, Deputy Ministers, State Ministers, and members, attended the opening ceremony of the Wariru Riverbank Relaxation Area on Strand Road, Mawlamyine, in commemoration of Mon State Day on the afternoon of March 18th.

At the ceremony, the Director of the Mon State Development Affairs Committee explained the project implementations, after which attendees officially opened the facility by cutting the ribbon.Following this, cash awards were presented to the drum and bugle corps, pomp pom dance troupe, and ethnic dance groups.

Attendees sprinkled scented water on the Wariru Riverbank Relaxation Area plaque, took commemorative photos, and toured the relaxation area.In the evening, General MaungMaung Aye and members attended the opening ceremony of exhibition halls showcasing Mon State Day commemorative displays, local products, and traditional food stalls.

First, General MaungMaung Aye and Lt-Gen YarPyae, along with Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than, Chief Minister U Aung Kyi Thein, and Commander of Southeast Command Maj-Gen Kyaw Lin Maung, officially opened the exhibition and toured the exhibition booths, with officials providing explanations.Subsequently, they attended a ceremony to transfer seeders to farmers, with seeders being presented by township.A farmer then expressed gratitude, after which the ceremony concluded.

Earlier in the morning, General MaungMaung Aye, accompanied by Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr. Myo Thein Kyaw, Chief Minister U Aung Kyi Thein, and Deputy Minister for Education Dr. ZawMyint, visited and inspected the Technological University in Mawlamyine.

Responsible officials welcomed them, and Union Minister Dr. Myo Thein Kyaw explained university-related information, with the SSPC Member providing necessary instructions.Following this, General MaungMaung Aye and members inspected a Ministry of Home Affairs-owned land plotin Upper Main Road, Phat Tan ဖက်တန်းWard, Mawlamyine. Responsible officials welcomed them and provided information regarding the land, with the Commission Member giving necessary instructions.
