Closing of ECCD Training: Sagaing Region Gov. Members attended the event

The closing ceremony for the Basic Early Childhood Care and Development Training was held on March 18 at Chindwin Hall in Monywa, Sagaing Region. The event was attended by the Region Chief Justice, members of the Region Government, departmental officials at the regional, district, and township levels, staff from the Department of Social Welfare, instructors, and trainees.

Region Social Affairs Minister U Nyunt Win Aung delivered the closing remarks. Following the speech, the Region Chief Justice and ministers presented cash of honor to the instructors and handed over completion certificates to two representative trainees.

The Director of the Region Department of Social Welfare read the training completion report. Attendees then enjoyed performances by the trainees, including songs, storytelling, and short plays.

After a trainee expressed words of thanks and a group documentary photo was taken, the Region Chief Justice and government members inspected an exhibition of handmade crafts created by the trainees.

On the afternoon of March 17, members of the Region Government attended a coordination meeting at the Region Government Office to discuss preparations for 2026 Myanmar Traditional Maha Thingyan Festival.

Region Social Affairs Minister U Nyunt Win Aung opened the meeting with an introductory speech.

Region-level departmental officials presented their respective work committee plans to ensure the festival is held successfully. Members of the Region Government provided supplementary suggestions and coordinated with relevant officials to fulfill the necessary requirements for the upcoming celebration, it’s reported.
