1st Session of 3rd Amyotha Hluttaw: 1st Session of 3rd Amyotha Hluttaw commenced

First Day of the First Regular Session of Third Amyotha Hluttaw, commenced at the convention hall of the Amyotha Hluttaw at Hluttaw complex in Nay Pyi Taw on 18th March, with the cent per cent attendance of (213) elected Amyotha Hluttaw representatives. Daw Dwe Bu, representative from Amyotha Hluttaw Constituency-5 of Kachin State, was elected as Chairperson of the meeting. The Chairperson then took affirmation in front of the Amyotha Hluttaw, signed the letter of affirmation and extended greetings.

Following this, Amyotha Hluttaw representatives took affirmations in front of the meeting chair, and signed the letter of affirmation. U Aung Lin Dwe, representative of Amyotha Hluttaw Constituency-11 of Mandalay Region, was elected as the Speaker of Amyotha Hluttaw, and Jeng Phang Naw Taung, representative of Amyotha Hluttaw Constituency-2 of Kachin State, as the Deputy Speaker. Next, the Amyotha Hluttaw Speaker and Deputy Speaker took affirmations in front of the meeting chair, and signed the letter of affirmation. Later, the Amyotha Hluttaw Speaker extended greetings, and concluded the first day meeting.
