Region Land Management Comm.: MGY Region CM attended the Committee meeting

The meeting of the Magway Region Vacant, Fallow and Virgin Land Management Committee (2/2026) was held on March 16th at the meeting hall of the Region Government Office, attended by the Committee Chairman, Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin, and committee members.

First, the Committee Chairman Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin addressed the committee members, stating that when undertaking matters related to the management of vacant, fallow and virgin lands, they must work in coordination with all relevant departments and organizations in accordance with existing laws, rules, procedures and directives. He emphasized that efforts should focus on achieving success by considering national economic development, creating employment opportunities for landless local citizens, and ensuring the effective and proper utilization of vacant, fallow and virgin lands for agricultural activities, livestock breeding operations, mineral extraction enterprises, and other lawful businesses permitted by the government.

Subsequently, the Region Vacant, Fallow and Virgin Land Management Committee reviewed the discussions and submissions presented by committee members and the committee secretary, making decisions to approve or reject applications accordingly.
