UEC Notification No. (36/2026): Tatmadaw Representatives substituted

The Union Election Commission, on March 16, issued a notification no. (36/2026) substituted Tatmadaw Representatives of Region and State Hluttaw.

 In accordance with the notification that the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services wishes to change the nominations for two Tatmadaw representatives to the Region or State Hluttaw who were nominated for the Multi-Party Democracy General Election held in phases starting from December 28, 2025, submitted under Section 33 of the Region or State Hluttaw Election Law, the Union Election Commission has scrutinized and, through Commission Announcement No. (35/2026) dated February 11, 2026, substituted Col. Soe Moe Win in place of Col. Min Thu Kyaw for Kayin State Hluttaw and Col. Soe Min Oo in place of Col. Khant Mon Swe for Ayeyawady Region Hluttaw. The notification is signed by the UEC chairman U Than Soe.
