





The introductory ceremony for the third Magway Region Hluttaw is scheduled to take place on March 18 at the Magway Region Hluttaw meeting hall. The Region Hluttaw representatives who have already arrived are undergoing health checkups at the Magway Region People’s Hospital, arranged by the Region Government.
Magway Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin, accompanied by region ministers and responsible officials from region, district, and township level departments, visited the Magway Region People’s Hospital to inspect the health screening being conducted for a total of 61 representatives, comprising 46 Region Hluttaw representatives and 15 Tatmadaw representatives from across the region. The Chief Minister cordially met and greeted the representatives, offering words of encouragement and addressing necessary matters.
The third session of the Magway Region Hluttaw is scheduled to commence on March 20. To ensure the successful holding of this third session, a total of 61 representatives have now arrived at the Magway Region Hluttaw in full force. These include 20 Hluttaw representatives elected under the First-Past-The-Post (FPTP) system, 25 Hluttaw representatives elected under the Mixed Member Proportional (MMP) system, 1 Chin ethnic affairs representative, making a total of 46 Region Hluttaw representatives, along with 15 Tatmadaw representatives. The Region Government is making necessary arrangements for them, it’s reported.
