Signing Ceremony for BOT Agreement: Singing ceremony with ADS Myanmar Co., Ltd held

Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung, along with responsible officials, attended the ceremony for signing a Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) agreement between the Shan State Development Affairs Department and ADS Myanmar Co., Ltd held in the morning of March 16 at the City Hall in Taunggyi for the Shan Fiber Common Infrastructure (SFCI) project, a telecommunications network common infrastructure project within Shan State.

The Chief Minister stated that policy guidance had been sought for entering into an agreement with ADS Myanmar Co., Ltd. for the Shan State telecommunications network common infrastructure project, and with approval granted, the agreement was being signed today. He emphasized that implementing this project will contribute to making administration, security, business, and telecommunications sectors more effective and efficient within Shan State, prepare for the implementation of the 5G system, and systematically manage the installation of poles and cables along fiber optic routes. This systematic approach will help create a clean and tidy Smart City that aligns with urban characteristics, making it a supportive project for such development.

Following this, Managing Director U Tin Soe from a Myanmar Economic Holding Public Company Limited, delivered a greeting speech. The Director of the Shan State Development Affairs Department, U Sai Tun Tun, then explained matters related to the Shan Fiber Common Infrastructure (SFCI) project.

Subsequently, responsible officials from the Shan State Development Affairs Department and ADS Myanmar Co., Ltd. signed the bilateral business agreement and exchanged contracts. U Thet Paing Phyo from ADS Myanmar Co., Ltd. explained the measures to be undertaken for implementing the Shan State telecommunications network common infrastructure project.

Afterwards, Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung delivered a concluding speech. He then toured and encouraged viewing the miniature models and telecommunications network equipment displayed in the hall, with responsible officials explaining according to their respective sectors.

Following this, the Chief Minister and responsible officials inspected the arrangement of offices being prepared for State Ministers and State Ethnic Affairs Ministers who will serve in the Shan State Government in Taunggyi and gave supplementary instructions to responsible officials as necessary, it’s reported.
