A ceremony to mark World Consumer Rights Day was held at the City Hall in Taunggyi on Sunday Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung attended the ceremony and made opening remarks. He said the annual event aims to raise awareness of consumer rights and encourage cooperation among the government, businesses, and consumers to ensure safe products and protect consumer interests.

This year’s theme, set by Consumers International, is “Safe Products, Confident Consumers.” During the ceremony, a consumer protection video was shown, and the Shan State Consumer Affairs Department explained its activities to protect consumers. The celebration also featured exhibitions of local products, value-added goods, and consumer awareness displays from across Shan State.
