Work Undertakings: Firefighting Drill and Investment Committee Meeting

Chief Minister of Kayah State U Sein Oo  attended a firefighting drill, held at a school compound in Loikaw on Friday.

The event was organized by the State Fire Services Department and firefighters demonstrated the extinguishing the gas cylinder fires, oil fires and house fires. They also demonstrated rescue and relief procedures for fire victims, firefighting at oil storage tanks and the operational capabilities of fire engines and equipment.

In his remarks, the Chief Minister praised firefighters for their bravery and dedication in protecting people’s lives and property. He emphasized the importance of preparedness and continuous training to respond effectively to fires and natural disasters. He also encouraged the public to follow fire prevention measures.

Officials also explained the use of Mobile App (191) for reporting fire incidents. On March 12, the Chief Minister attended the Kayah State Investment Committee Meeting at the State Government Office. Officials discussed ongoing investment activities, including plans for producing and distributing organic fertilizer in the Loikaw Industrial Zone and addressing challenges faced by wood-based industries.

The Chief Minister highlighted efforts to accelerate reconstruction and economic recovery in the state and encouraged committee members to support businesses and promote investment, noting that Loikaw is now stable and peaceful.
