






The awarding ceremony for Vocational Education Stipends for the 2025–2026 fiscal year, organized by the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs and the Yangon Region Government, was held on March 10 at the Mingalar Hall (Mini) of the Yangon Region Government Office. Chairman of Yangon Region Youth Affairs Committee Chief Minister U Soe Thein, attended and delivered the opening address.
In his opening speech, Chief Minister U Soe Thein highlighted that the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs is actively creating future development opportunities within the youth vocational education sector. These stipends are specifically intended for youths in vulnerable groups who are unable to pursue formal education, ensuring they have access to vocational training. A total of 29 recipients were selected including 22 supported by the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs and 7 supported by the Yangon Region Government.
The Chief Minister and members of the region government personally presented the vocational education stipends to the youth representatives from various townships.
A youth representative spoke on behalf of the recipients, expressing heartfelt thanks for the support provided to vulnerable groups.
Following the ceremony, Chief Minister U Soe Thein and officials cordially greeted the attendees and students, it’s reported.
