






The Ayeyawady Region Chief Minister U Tin Maung Win visited the Koe Thein Sports Hall and the Ayeyawady Region Advanced Swimming Pool in Pathein on March 9th to observe and encourage participants in the Summer Basic Sports Training Courses.
The courses are being jointly organized by the Ayeyawady Region Youth Affairs Committee and the Region Sports and Physical Education Department, running from March 3rd to April 3rd, offering training in 20 different sports. First, the Region Chief Minister visited the Koe Thein Sports Hall in Pathein, where he observed the training sessions for Sepak Takraw and Volleyball.
He then proceeded to the Ayeyawady Region Advanced Swimming Pool (Pathein) to watch the swimming training sessions. He remarked that just as the State is working towards the fitness and well-being of the entire nation, these summer sports courses are being organized to enable systematic learning and practice of various sports.
He encouraged the trainees to strive and train diligently, from the region level up to becoming national level athletes who can bring honour to the country. He then provided energy drinks and refreshments to the participants. Additionally, the Region Chief Minister visited Sports Competition Hall (2) under the Sports and Physical Education Department.
There, he observed the training sessions for Badminton, Karate, and Myanmar Thaing. He gave necessary guidance and also provided energy drinks and refreshments to the trainees, it’s reported.
