







In honour of the 81st Anniversary of Armed Forces Day, the newly constructed three-storey RC building of the Kawthoung District and Township Law Office was opened Saturday morning in front of the new building.
Union Minister for Legal Affairs and Union Attorney-General Dr. Thida Oo, together with Taninthayi Region Chief Minister U Myat Ko, Deputy Minister for Legal Affairs and Deputy Attorney-General Dr. Htein Lin Oo, regional ministers, the Taninthayi Region Advocate-General, and other officials attended the opening ceremony of the new law office building.
The Taninthayi Region chief minister, the deputy minister and deputy attorney-general, the region minister for Natural Resources, the Taninthayi Region advocate-general, and Col Aung Ko Latt from the local station first cut the ceremonial ribbon to open the new law office building, and the Union minister and the Union attorney-general unveiled the signboard by pressing a button.
The Union minister and the Union attorney-general, the region’s chief minister, the deputy minister and deputy attorney-general, the region advocate-general, and officials then sprinkled scented water on the foundation stone of the new building.
Afterwards, the Union minister and the Union attorney-general, together with officials, toured the new three-storey RC office building of the Kawthoung District and Township Law Office, which measures 65 feet in length and 30 feet in width and was constructed by Ngwe Toe San Company, and met with law officers and staff from Taninthayi Region.
During the meeting, the Union minister and the Union attorney-general urged law officers to conduct themselves in accordance with the ethics of law officers and civil servants and the dignity of their positions, to continue working diligently for national development, peace and stability, and the rule of law, and to protect the interests of the country and the people with legal knowledge, responsibility, and loyalty. Participating law officers also explained their work, the Region advocate-general provided additional explanations, and the Union minister and the Union attorney-general coordinated and fulfilled the requirements, it’s reported.
