Opening ceremony : 37th Research Paper Reading Session

Opening ceremony of the 37th Research Paper Reading Session on the Forestry, Mineral and Environment took place at the assembly hall of the Department of Forestry (Yazin) on Thursday.

Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Khin Maung Yi attended the event together with Deputy Minister U Min Thu and concerned officials. In his opening speech, the Union Minister said the education and research development play vital role for sustainable development of country’s socio-economic.

He called for constant studying on research works for systematic management of natural resources for sustainable growth. In order to tackle forestry and environmental problems, Green Mining and Sustainable Mining are needed to conduct, approaching new ways of research findings and market research.

  The Union Minister later toured around the displayed research papers posters and heard reports by the officials. The research paper reading session is schedule to hold from 5th to 6th March with the presentation of 27 research papers.
