The escalating conflicts in the Middle East have started to restrict supplies from the key oil-and-gas-producing region.

A representative from the automotive industry expected the prices could surge further. At a petrol station in Wan Chai, Hong Kong unleaded petrol was priced at 29 dollars 69 cents per liter on Monday. Just one day later, the price rose to 29.99 dollars.  Some noted a steady climb in fuel costs over recent years,    making every fill-up increasingly expensive.  As the war in the Middle East intensified,     auto experts believe global oil prices may continue to rise.
