Youth Participation in Election: High youth participation in 2025 General Election

The 2025 multi-party democracy general election, which began on December 28, 2025, was held in three phases and was successfully conducted as a free and fair election in line with democratic standards. Despite various challenges, political parties actively competed, and citizens fulfilled their civic duty by voting with interest and responsibility.

According to the Union Election Commission, there were a total of 24.22 million eligible voters, with more than 13.14 million casting their votes. The voter turnout was over 54.22 percent. Among eligible voters, 24% were aged 18 to 30, 21% were aged 30 to 40, 20% were aged 40 to 50, 17% were aged 50 to 60, 11% were aged 60 to 70 and 7% were over 70. The data shows that young people made up a large percentage of eligible voters and also actively participated in voting, indicating increased youth interest in national affairs.
