Union Minister for Immigration and Population, U Myint Kyaing, accompanied by responsible officials, visited the Township Immigration and Population Department Office in Myaungmya Township, Ayeyawady Region, on February 24th.

Upon arrival, the Union Minister cordially greeted local residents who had come to the office, including those eligible for citizenship scrutiny cards who had not yet received them, individuals applying for replacement or copies of lost cards, and those registering changes in household population lists.

He then toured the premises to observe and encourage the staff as they verified necessary supporting documents and issued cards in accordance with laws and procedures. Subsequently, the Union Minister toured the areas where biometric and biographic data was being collected using the e-ID system for individuals who had received citizenship scrutiny cards, enabling the issuance of Unique ID numbers simultaneously.

He inquired about operational difficulties faced by the local residents coming to utilize the services and coordinated with responsible officials to address any necessary matters. The Union Minister then inspected the storage of office documents and records within the township office. He checked the process of verifying and reconciling data from the "Office Receivable-4" records and household population lists online against the information stored on the e-ID Server at the head office.

He also examined the systematic preservation of personal files in the record room. Following inspection, he provided necessary directives and support to the responsible officials. Afterwards, he personally presented Citizenship Scrutiny Cards and cards bearing Unique ID numbers, which had been processed through the One Stop Service system, to the respective individuals. The Union Minister then provided financial assistance and refreshments intended for the staff of the Myaungmya Township Office to the Township Officer for distribution.

Following this, the Union Minister proceeded to the Azar-ni Pariyatti Sarthintaik Monastery in Myaungmya Township, where he paid homage to the Presiding Sayadaw, Bhaddanta Karunika , and discussed religious matters. He offered robes and donated items to the venerable Sayadaw.
