



The opening ceremony of the "Financial Management and Accounting with EXCEL" training course, jointly organized by the Ministry of Finance and Revenue and the Ministry of Science and Technology, was held at the Public Financial Management Training School, Ministry of Finance, in Nay Pyi Taw on February 24th.
At the ceremony, Union Minister for Finance and Revenue, Dr. Kan Zaw, delivered an address. He stated that in the contemporary era, countries capable of effectively utilizing digital technology across various sectors are achieving progress and success, with nations globally undertaking balanced digital transformation processes.
He further mentioned that the Ministry is persistently striving to achieve the objectives outlined in the Myanmar e-Governance Master Plan's roadmap to modernize and enhance the transparency of the country's financial management through e-Government systems.
As part of these efforts, to reduce reliance on third parties for operational tasks, the Ministry, in collaboration with the Ministry of Science and Technology, will continue to offer programming language courses and networking-related courses. This aims to enable departments, enterprises, and organizations to develop and deploy their own software and to independently manage and utilize their IT infrastructure. The training course will be attended by 30 officers and staff members from departments under the Ministry of Finance and Revenue. The course is scheduled to last for four weeks, it’s learnt.
