Religious Matters: Central Working Committee meeting concluded

The 2nd meeting of the Ninth State Sangha Central Working Committee successfully concluded on Saturday.

It was attended by State Ovadacariya Sayadaws, State Sangha Maha Nayaka Sayadaws, members of State Sangha Central Working Committee, Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Tin Oo Lwin and concerned officials.

The meeting was presided over by the Committee Chairman Aggamaha Pandita Aggamaha Saddhammajotikadhaja Dr. Bhaddanta Candima Bhivamsa, while Joint Secretary Sayadaw Aggamaha Pandita Bhaddanta Sihanada acted as master of ceremonies.

During the meeting, the Chairman Sayadaw presented Certificates to 24 members of of the State Special Winichcaya Committee and State Sangha Central Working Committee. Likewise, Dhammaduta Chekinda University and Sitagu Ketumati Buddhist University received Certificates of recognition as Buddha University.

Next, the amendments, decisions, approval and records made during the meeting were signed by representative Sayadaws from respective sects. Then, the meeting was concluded with the closing remarks of the Chairman Sayadaw.
