Bridge Explosion: KNPP, KNDF and PDF destroy bridge in Hpasawng Township

KNPP, KNDF and PDF terrorists detonated explosives and destroyed the Pon Chaung Bridge in Hpasawng Township of Kayah State, on February 20.

Security forces had regained control of Hpasawng on February 15 and were conducting security operations in the area. Earlier, on February 17, the Than Lwin (Hpasawng) Bridge near the town was also destroyed.

The latest explosion damaged about 65 feet of the bridge, including part of the eastern approach and bridge pillars. The bridge was mainly used by local residents for transportation and trade. Security forces are continuing necessary operations to maintain stability and security in the area.
