Security Measures: Attempted drone attack prevented in Hakha

An attempted drone attack targeted Chin National Day celebration in Hakha, Chin State on Friday. Combined armed forces of the CDF and PDF terrorists allegedly launched FPV suicide drones carrying explosive devices toward the venue of the public celebration.

Security forces were monitoring the area through air defense systems. Upon detecting the approaching drone in advance, security personnel conducted counter measures to prevent it from reaching the main celebration ground. The drone reportedly failed to reach its intended target and instead fell in surrounding areas outside the main event venue.

Security forces subsequently secured the site and systematically deactivated the explosive devices attached to the drone to ensure public safety. No casualties or damage to infrastructure were reported as a result of the incident.

Local residents strongly condemned the attempted attack, describing it as an act targeting non-military public events and civilian areas. Security forces have launched further investigations and efforts are underway to identify and apprehend those responsible, in cooperation with the public.
