Tour in Mawlamyine: Visiting the Sports Complex and Meeting with staff

Chairman of Myanmar Olympic Committee, Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs and Hotels and Tourism Jeng Phang Naw Taung, along with the Director General of Sports and Physical Education Department, visited Mon State on Friday.

They visited Mon State Sport Complex to inspect sport facilities, dining hall, staff housing and construction site of sport stadium. The Union Minister instructed to construct ground tank for greening of the football field and water sprinkled system, polishing process of inner fencing of the field and cleaning of bushes.

He also stressed for long term maintenance of sport buildings and housings, ensuring the security of all staff and completion of construction works in accordance with standard procedures in specified time frame. At the Sports and Physical Education Institute (Mawlamyine) to inspect football field, Taekwondo, Judo and Sepak Takraw, boxing, volleyball, weightlifting centers, futsal field and gymnasium.

There, the Union Minister met with the teachers and trainers and instructed to support the needs of the trainees. At the assembly hall of the Township Administration Office, the Union Minister met with the officials and staff from Sports and Physical Science (Mawlamyine) under Sports and Physical Education Department and Directorate of Hotels and Tourism, gave necessary instructions for the development of sports and youths sector in cooperation with related departments and fulfilled the needs on the reports by the staff.
