Central Administrative Body Meeting: Central Administrative Body of SPSUs held meeting

The (1/2026) meeting of the Central Administrative Body of the State Pariyatti Sasana Universities was held at the Convocation Hall of the State Pariyatti Sasana University (Yangon), Thiri Mingala Kaba Aye Hill, Mayangone Township, Yangon, on February 18th.

Present at the meeting were Deputy Chairman Sayadaws from the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee, the Rectors, Pro-Rectors (Academic/Administration), and Registrar Sayadaws from the State Pariyatti Sasana Universities (Yangon and Mandalay).

Also in attendance were Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Tin Oo Lwin, members of the Central Administrative Body of the State Pariyatti Sasana Universities, responsible officials, and external academics. Firstly, the Union Minister offered donated items to the Sayadaws attending the meeting.

Then, the meeting was opened with the opening Ovadakatha delivered by the Deputy Chairman Sayadaw of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee and Chairman Sayadaw of the Central Administrative Body of the State PariyattiSasana Universities, Agga Maha Pandita, Agga Maha Saddhamma Jotikadhaja Bhaddanta Kovida၊.

Following this, Union Minister U Tin Oo Lwin reported on matters concerning the religious affairs. Subsequently, the Secretary of the Central Administrative Body, the Director-General of the Department for the Propagation and Promotion of the Sasana, reported on the actions taken regarding the resolutions of the Central Administrative Body meeting (2/2025) and the submissions from the Universities' Central Education Board meeting (1/2026).

Afterwards, the Sayadaws and laypersons attending the meeting discussed matters pertaining to the Central Administrative Body meeting (1/2026). Five resolutions were adopted and approved. The Chairman Sayadaw then delivered the concluding remarks.
