Receiving Academician of NAS: MIFER UM received Academician of NAS from Belarus

Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations, Dr. Wah Wah Maung, received a delegation led by Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Professor Mr. Aleksei Shkadarevich, Director of LEMT, at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on February 18.

During the meeting, both sides cordially and openly exchanged views on matters relating to cooperation in the field of science and technology, which is one of the cooperation areas under the Roadmap for the Development of Cooperation between the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the Republic of Belarus (2026-2028) signed during the official goodwill visit of the President of Belarus to Myanmar.

Discussions also covered the promotion of investment to support the development of science and technology sector of Myanmar, facilitating technology transfer that would benefit various production sectors through research and development activities, and enhancing bilateral economic relations between the two countries. The meeting was attended by senior officials and responsible personnel from the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations.
