17th Taungyo National Day: Shan State Chief Minister attends the ceremony

17th Taungyo National Day ceremony was held at Saung Bwe Village, Nantaing Village-tract in Kalaw Township on Wednesday. Chief Minister of Shan State U Aung Aung, along with state ministers and the Chair of the Taungyo Literature and Culture Association, opened the ceremonial arch by cutting the ribbon.

In his speech, the Chief Minister said Shan State is home to 33 Shan ethnic groups, each with its own traditions and culture. He urged the Taungyo people to preserve their traditional customs, language, and cultural heritage, and to strengthen unity and cooperation among ethnic groups. He also extended his congratulations on the 17th Taungyo National Day. The Chief Minister later presented cash assistance for the ceremony.
