Inspection of Hydropower Project : Acting President inspected hydropower project

Acting President Chairman of State Security and Peace Commission Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, accompanied by officials, inspected the implementation progress of the Hwe Htaik  Hydropower Project in Lahe  Town, Naga Self-Administered Zone, Sagaing Region, on the afternoon of February 16.

First, at the project briefing hall, an official explained the status of the Hwe Htaik Hydropower Project's phased implementation by fiscal year and the project completion status. The Acting President SSPC Chairman instructed that the foundation works be completed before the rainy season, that the project implementation continue systematically, and gave guidance on other necessary matters.

Subsequently, the Acting President and Chairman of the State Administration Council inspected a model of the Hwe Htaik Hydropower Plant and the construction status of the power plant, providing necessary guidance based on officials' submissions.

Afterwards, the Acting President SSPC Chairman, accompanied by members, arrived at the Theravada Buddhist Missionary (Central) Monastery in Lahe Town, paid homage to the presiding Sayadaw of the Naga Hills Missionary Center, and offered collective cash donation, along with rice, cooking oil, salt, and other offering items.

The Acting President SSPC Chairman then inquired with the Sayadaw about matters concerning the propagation and flourishing of the Buddha Sasana, and instructed officials to fulfill necessary requirements based on the Sayadaw's guidance.

Subsequently, the Acting President SSPC Chairman cordially met with students in Lahe Town and delivered words of encouragement for their educational endeavors.

Similarly, wife of the Acting President SSPC Chairman, Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, accompanying the Acting President SSPC Chairman on the trip, accompanied by the wife of the Commission Secretary and members, visited the Theravada Buddhist Missionary Nunnery in Lahe Town, paid homage to the senior nuns, offered donation items, and took necessary actions based on the guidance of the senior nuns, it’s reported.
