Preservation and Exhibition : Renovation of Bogyoke Aung San Museum in Yangon

Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Tin Oo Lwin, in his capacity as the Chairman of the Working Committee on Preservation and Exhibition of Bogyoke Aung San Museum, inspected renovation works at the museum in Yangon on Sunday.

The museum, which is over 100 years old, is being carefully restored without altering its original design. The renovation is being carried out under the guidance of Acting President, Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission Senior General Min Aung Hlaing. Work includes building repairs, landscaping, electricity and water systems, and beautification.

The Union Minister also inspected the maintenance and test driving of General Aung San’s car, which is being repaired by Htoo Auto Service and relevant departments. Afterward, the Union Minister visited the the Secretariat in Botahtaung Township.

Officials reported on preservation work, modern displays of historical records and maintaining General Aung San’s office in its original condition. The Union Minister gave necessary instructions and took a tour of the buildings.
