Agricultural Development: Agriculture and irrigation projects in Sittwe

Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin, along with officials, on Saturday visited a 40-acre industrial farming project in Sittwe, funded by the state’s 2025-2026 budget.

Officials presented details of the project, including achievements and upcoming tasks as well as plans for crop cultivation, water resource management, and improving irrigation systems.

The Chief Minister and party also visited a water reservoir and winter crop farm, where solar-powered systems are being used to support irrigation. They praised the successful cultivation of winter crops in Dar Paing Village, thanks to the project’s water supply systems.
