Ethnic Affairs: Meeting with ethnic community and ministry's staff

Member of the State Security and Peace Commission, Union Minister for Border Affairs and Ethnic Affairs Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, together with the Shan State Chief Minister, met with officials from Ethnic Licterature and Culture Associations at the Directorate Office of the Ministry in Taunggyi on 8th February.

During the meeting, officials presented the matters related to ethnic culture and literature, and necessaries for regional development in which the Union Minister coordinated the needs. Then, the Union Minister instructed to have mutual respect on the literature, culture and language among ethnic people.

The Union Minister also provided cash of honor to the associations as well as to the staff. At the Shan State Office under the Department of Education and Training, the Union Minister heard reports by the officials regarding the human resource development and training courses, supplemented the necessaries, and inspected the staff housing in the compound.
