Inspection of Mechanized Farmlands: MOALI DM inspected mechanized farmlands

On 3rd February, Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Bo Bo Kyaw visited 139 acres of mechanized farmlands development project site at field No. 85/86 in InnTein Village, Nyaung Shwe Township of Shan State (South).

After hearing reports on current work implementations, the Deputy Minister coordinated necessities and underscored the purposes of developing mechanized farmlands which can access better irrigated water supply, swift transportation, intensified multi-cropping system and workforce reduction due to agricultural machinery.

Subsequently, the Deputy Minister inspected renovation of Inntein Dam and its right embankment damaged by Typhoon Yagi and instructed on Inntein creek channel improvement, silt recovery and resilience of the embankment. He also emphasized on timely completion of the processes, meeting established time frame and environmental conservation matters.

Later, the Deputy Minister and party inspected the condition of Tharsi Lake silt recovery process and floating island clearing works in Nadi Lake and instructed on embarkments at the entrance of Nyaung Shwe Township and facelifting measures.

The Deputy Minister and party also inspected the potato plantations at Field No.96 in ThanTe Village Tract in Taunggyi Township, completion of livestock breeding farmhouse farms in Kyauk Ni Livestock Breeding Zone, cattle farming, animal feed plantations and coordinated requirements.
