Coordination Meetings: Sagaing Region CM delivered the opening address

A coordination meeting aimed at accelerating and streamlining regional-level immunization and vaccination programs was held at Chindwin Hall in Monywa, Sagaing Region in the morning of February 3. Region Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw attended the event and delivered the opening address.

During the ceremony, the Chief Minister presented honorary medals to the three best-performing townships in the region for their excellence in immunization and vaccination coverage.

Next, Head of the Department of Public Health discussed the general framework of immunization and oral vaccination operations. The Deputy Department Head provided a detailed PowerPoint presentation on the progress of regional vaccination efforts and outlined future work plans. Then, the Chief Minister and attendees viewed a documentary video focused on increasing national immunization coverage and reaching areas where vaccination rates remain low.

In the afternoon, Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw chaired a coordination meeting of the Region Committee for the Eradication of Child Labor at the Sagaing Region Government Office. At the meeting, the Committee Chairman Region Minister for Social Affairs, acting explained current progress in child labor eradication efforts. The Committee Secretary and heads of region departments detailed their respective sectors' activities and future strategies for eliminating child labor. Members of the region government provided additional input on committee operations. The Chief Minister coordinated the various proposals and provided concluding remarks to ensure the effective implementation of the committee's goals, it’s reported.
