Htamane-making Competition: MOI held Htamane-making competition

The Myanmar traditional Htamane-making competitions were held on February 3 across several ministries in Nay Pyi Taw.

These events are designed to preserve cultural traditions, foster teamwork among staff, and strengthen friendship and unity within the departments. The Ministry of Information held its traditional Htamane-making competition in front of the Ministry office in Nay Pyi Taw.

The event aimed to preserve Myanmar’s traditional cultural heritage, encourage teamwork, harmony, and a unified spirit among staff during work operations and promote mutual friendship and collective happiness among colleagues. Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn delivered an opening speech and presented awards to the participating teams.

In the evening, Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn inspected preparations for the 2025 Myanmar Motion Picture Academy Awards ceremony at Myanmar International Convention Center (MICC-1) in Nay Pyi Taw on Tuesday. During the inspection, the Union Minister checked the completion of the entrance archway, red carpet arrangements, media interview and filming areas, installation of LED screens, sound and lighting systems, and technical testing. He also reviewed the ceremony programme and arrangements for Academy award-winning artists to receive their awards and coordinated necessary measures with responsible officials.
