Receiving Russian SC Secretary: NSA Union Minister received Russian SC Secretary

At the invitation of the National Security Adviser Union Minister for the Ministry (1) of the President’s Office U Tin Aung San, a delegation led by the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Mr. Sergei Shoigu, who is currently visiting Myanmar, was received by the National Security Adviser and Union Minister U Tin Aung San at the Ministry (1) of the President’s Office in Nay Pyi Taw in the evening on Monday.

During the meeting, they exchanged views and discussed cooperation between security councils, Special Forces, and law enforcement agencies, collaboration in the field of information security, including combating cybercrime, countering attempts to interfere in the internal affairs of sovereign nations; bilateral cooperation matters and issues related to the provision of training and assistance.

They also exchanged commemorative gifts. Subsequently, the delegation led by the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation visited the Maravijaya Buddha Image, the tallest seating marble Buddha Image in the world, located within the grounds of the Buddha Park in Dekkhinathiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw Council area.

They paid homage, offered flowers, water and oil lamps, and toured the Buddha Park. In the evening, the National Security Adviser Union Minister U Tin Aung San hosted a dinner in honor of the delegation led by the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Mr. Sergei Shoigu, at the Jasmine Naypyitaw Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw.

Afterwards, the National Security Adviser and Union Minister U Tin Aung San and the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Mr. Sergei Shoigu, presented bouquets to the cultural troupe from the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture that performed at the entertainment reception.

The delegation led by the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Mr. Sergei Shoigu, arrived in Nay Pyi Taw by special aircraft in the afternoon on Monday. They were welcomed and greeted at Nay Pyi Taw Airport by Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs U Ko Ko Kyaw, responsible officials from the Ministry (1) of the President’s Office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Myanmar, and other responsible persons.

It is also reported that the separate meetings were held in Nay Pyi Taw at the Jasmine Naypyitaw Hotel. Deputy Minister for Transport and Communications U Thet Win Aung met with Deputy Minister for Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation Mr. Andrey Zarenin and his delegation. Police Chief of the Myanmar Police Force, Police Lieutenant General Win Zaw Moe, met with Deputy Minister of the Interior of the Russian Federation Mr. Igor Zubov, and Deputy Head of the Russian National Guard Mr. Oleg Plokhoy and their delegations.

Police Brigadier General Zaw Lin Tun from the Ministry of Home Affairs met with Deputy Head of the Federal Financial Monitoring Service of the Russian Federation Mr. Evgeny Gileta and his delegation. Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Science and Technology Dr. Sai Kyaw Naing Oo met with the Head of the International Projects Department of the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom, Ms. Marina Belyaeva, and her delegation.
