Opening of Senior Officials Course: UCSB Chairman delivered the opening address

The opening ceremony of the Senior Officials Course No. 21 was held at 8:00 AM on February 2, at the Navarat Hall of the Civil Service Academy (Upper Myanmar). The event was attended by Chairman of the Union Civil Service Board, U Soe Min Oo, board member U San Myint, Permanent Secretary U Myint Swe, Rector of the Academy, departmental heads, and trainees.

In his opening address, Chairman U Soe Min Oo highlighted the role of senior officials is crucial for the sustainable development of the country, as they are responsible for leading the implementation of government policies. The course aims to ensure that officials perform their duties with high competency and integrity at every level, always prioritizing the interests of the State and the people. The training is designed to foster a civil service culture rooted in responsibility, accountability, and effective coordination etc.

A total of 50 trainees are attending the course, which will span a duration of eight weeks.

Following the ceremony, UCSB Chairman inspected the availability of reference books and the implementation of e-Lib Software, which allows trainees to research subject-specific data and manage book rentals digitally. He visited small-scale vegetable gardens cultivated by academy staff and police families. At the main administrative office, he met with teachers and officials to address their requirements and provide necessary support.

The Chairman concluded his visit by having lunch with the trainees of Senior Officials Course No. 21 and Middle Management Course No. 14 at the Yaw Min Gyi Hall.
