Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than met with heads of the Department of Industrial Supervision and Inspection from regions and states in Nay Pyi Taw to coordinate preparations for the Union-level MSME Products Exhibition and Market Fair.
In his opening remarks, the Union Minister said the meeting aimed to ensure the successful and well-organized hosting of the MSME exhibition and fair, with diverse products from all regions and states. He highlighted that the Ministry of Industry is responsible for MSME development, including access to finance, technology, human resources and markets.
He stressed that the exhibition is a national-level event, implementing government MSME policies. He urged officials to complete regional booths on time, prepare product lists, export-ready goods, import-substitute products and agriculture-based products, and calculate value-added improvements.
He added that follow-up work to connect buyers and sellers should continue even after the fair, and lessons from the previous expo should be used to improve this second event. Officials then presented updates on preparations, and the meeting concluded with closing remarks by the Union Minister.
