Tour in Mandalay: Union Minister inspects universities in Mandalay Region

Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr Myo Thein Kyaw, together with officials, inspected the universities in Mandalay Region.

At Yadanapon Cyber City on January 31, the Union Minister inspected proposed sites for a women’s hostel and staff housing, and reviewed plans for a water supply system from Sithar Dam. He also visited laboratories and workshops, observed students’ research projects, and urged the use of modern teaching aids and practical training to produce skilled and innovative engineers.

Later, at Mandalay Technological University, he reviewed campus conditions and gave guidance on producing well-rounded and competent engineering graduates.

On February 1, the Union Minister inspected renovated lecture halls at Technological University (Mandalay), along with laboratories, workshops, the library, sports hall, student hostels, and a proposed football field site.

At the Myanmar Institute of Information Technology, the Union Minister inspected the renovation status of the main building and classrooms.

During the visits, the Union Minister emphasized campus cleanliness, green environments, quality education, research development, and effective administration. He also coordinated with university staff to address needs and improvements.
