Passing-Out Parade: C-in-C (Navy) delivered the graduation speech

The passing-out parade for the 85th Intake Tatmadaw (Navy) Junior Officer (Administration) Course, the 59th Intake Tatmadaw (Navy) Junior Officer (Engineering) Course, and the 10th Intake Tatmadaw (Navy) Junior Officer (Female) Course was held in the morning on January 27 at the parade ground of the Naval Training Headquarters in Thanlyin Station.

Commander-in-Chief (Navy), Admiral Zeya Kyaw Htin Htein Win, attended on behalf of the Chairman of State Security and Peace Commission, Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, and delivered an address. First, the graduating company and the honor guard companies marched onto the parade ground and paid a salute to the national flag.

Subsequently, Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Admiral Htein Win arrived, received the salute from the graduating company and the honor guard companies, and inspected them. Following that, the graduating company and the honor guard companies paid their salute to the Commander-in-Chief (Navy) with a slow march and a quick march.

Continuing, the Commander-in-Chief (Navy) presented outstanding achievement awards to the best cadets from the 85th Intake Tatmadaw (Navy) Junior Officer (Administration) Course, the 59th Intake Tatmadaw (Navy) Junior Officer (Engineering) Course, and the 10th Intake Tatmadaw (Navy) Junior Officer (Female) Course, as well as to those who excelled in navigation studies and marine engineering studies.

Afterwards, Commander-in-Chief (Navy), Admiral Zeya Kyaw Htin Htein Win, delivering the graduation address on behalf of the Chairman of State Security and Peace Commission, Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, stated that it is a day when the Naval Training Headquarters has successfully trained and graduated a new generation of junior officers who will serve not only the Navy but also inject new strength into the State and the Armed Forces.

He mentioned that during the training period, besides theoretical instruction, practical afloat training was conducted on naval vessels, including accompanying naval ships on visits to foreign countries and participating in seaborne exercises, providing hands-on maritime experience.

He noted that they would also jointly undertake responsibilities for naval operations, riverine operations, and transportation duties. He emphasized that a solid understanding of naval tactics and strategies is essential for successful performance, which is why the Basic Naval Tactics Course was conducted.

He added that the naval knowledge imparted now is merely a foundation for beginning their careers as naval officers. As the concept of lifelong learning suggests, it is particularly necessary for them to continue studying and learning throughout their entire careers as naval officers.

Following this, the Commander-in-Chief (Navy) received the salute from the graduating company and the honor guard companies and departed from the parade ground. After the passing out parade, the Commander-in-Chief (Navy) met with the outstanding graduates and their parents in the reception hall of the Naval Training Headquarters and delivered a congratulatory address.

Later in the evening, a graduation honor dinner ceremony was held, and the Commander-in-Chief (Navy) and accompanying members dined together with the graduating officers. After the dinner ceremony, Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Admiral Htein Win warmly bid farewell to the graduating officers and their family members, it’s reported.
