Museum Visit : Energy Museum in Thanlyin draws public visitors

To mark the 40th anniversary of the Ministry of Energy and the centenary of Thanlyin Oil Refinery, the Ministry of Energy opened an Energy Museum in Thanlyin.

The museum has been open daily from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM since 24 December 2025. The museum showcases the history of Myanmar’s energy sector, oil and gas exploration and production, tools and equipment used, and future energy projects.

It features models, historical documents, and interactive exhibits for students and the public to learn about Myanmar’s energy industry. Since opening, over 1,200 visitors including students, teachers, foreign investors, retired military officers, and government officials, have toured the museum.
