Election in Nay Pyi Taw : International observers visit polling booths

The initial phase of the 2025 multiparty democracy general election was conducted on 28 December in 102 designated townships across various regions and states.

As part of the process, 26 international observers from Russia, Belarus, China, and Kazakhstan monitored voting procedures at polling stations in the Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory.

In Pobbathiri Township, eligible voters turned out at polling stations in Zawana Dipa Ward to cast their ballots, selecting candidates expected to contribute to regional development and public interests. A total of 626 polling stations were opened across Nay Pyi Taw for the election process.
