Election Observers : Receiving the Belarusian delegation in Nay Pyi Taw

Union Election Commission Chairman U Than Soe received Belarusian delegation led by Mr. Alexei Bashan, Deputy Chairman of Belarusian Central Election Commission in Nay Pyi Taw on Friday.

During the meeting, Mr. Alexei Bashan expressed his country’s support on the upcoming multi-party democracy general election and his appreciation to participate as an observer during the election.

The Commission Chairman also expressed his warmness welcome to the delegation and explained the preparation processes for the election including arrangements on MEVMs for safety and smooth voting system in accordance with the democracy standards and guidelines.

The meeting also focused on singing of MoU on election procedures between the two countries. The two sides also exchanged views on the election preparation process in Belarus, and the observation plans for international experts.
