Inspection of Work Implementation : MOEP UM inspected work implementations in Taungoo

Union Minister for Electric Power U Nyan Tun, together with officials concerned, visited Taungoo Township, Bago Region, on December 24.

First, the Union Minister and party inspected the sites where 230 kV and 33 kV power lines overlapping with the railroad bypass construction need to be relocated, as well as the areas where 33 kV, 11 kV, and 400-volt power lines overlapping with the new city expansion project must be relocated.

The Union Minister provided guidance on the implementation of the required tasks and instructed the necessary support to be provided. Subsequently, the Union Minister and party proceeded to the 500 kV Phayagyi  substation project being implemented by the Electric Power Transmission and Control Department in Bago Township.

The Union Minister inspected the construction of the Control Building and Switch Yard within the project site, the installation status of transformers, Shunt Reactor, and Hybrid Gas Insulated Switchgear (HGIS). Responsible officials explained the progress of the work, and the Union Minister gave necessary instructions.

Later in the afternoon, the Union Minister and party visited the Electric Power Transmission and Control Department’s 230 kV Myaungdaga  main substation in Hmawbi Township, Yangon Region. Responsible officials presented information about the substation and explained the power transmission and distribution to the Myaungdaga  Industrial Zone.

In response to the presentations, the Union Minister gave guidance regarding the implementation of the tasks. He also inspected the power reception and transmission situation in the power control room, the power transmission and distribution to the Myaungdaga  Industrial Zone, and the power regulation and distribution status of the power lines and transformers in the Switch Yard and gave necessary instructions to the responsible officials.
