





The Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win, attended and officiated at the opening ceremony of the Farmers’ Agricultural Technology Training Course (3/2025) held at the Zee-Oke ဇီးအုပ် Farmers’ Training School in Pyay Township.
First, the Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win, stated that the purpose of opening farmer education and agricultural technology training courses is to enhance the knowledge and expertise of rural farming communities in the region by introducing modern, innovative, and sustainable agricultural production technologies. He explained that the training is intended to help increase individual farmers’ incomes and improve their overall economic well-being.
Subsequently, the Chief Minister, on behalf of the Bago Region Government, presented Myanmar indigenous kitchen crop seeds to the participating farmers and warmly greeted them, offering words of encouragement.
The agricultural technology training course for farmers will be conducted for 40 farmers from Pyay District and Nattalin District from December 22 to December 24. The course will provide both theoretical and practical instruction on topics such as achieving target crop yields and reducing pesticide residues, the Farmland Law and the Vacant, Fallow and Virgin Lands Law, achieving target yields for sunflower crops, efficient utilization of irrigation water, production and use of natural fertilizers, vegetative propagation, mechanized sugarcane planting, selection of high-quality and pure cotton seeds, small-scale seed preservation methods, duck farming, environmental conservation, and the prevention and control of pests affecting agricultural crops, it’s reported.
