








The opening ceremony of the Agricultural Machinery Exhibition, jointly organized by the Department of Agricultural Mechanization and the Myanmar Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers Association under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, was held at the University of Agriculture and Veterinary Science (Pyinmana), Nay Pyi Taw on December 22.
First, Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Min Naung, Director-General of the Department of Agricultural Mechanization U Kyaw Tun Aye, and Chairman of Myanmar Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers Association U Naing Oo cut the ribbon to open the Agricultural Machinery Exhibition.
Following that, Union Minister U Min Naung stated that this Agricultural Machinery Exhibition is being jointly organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, the Department of Agricultural Mechanization, and the Myanmar Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers Association. He mentioned that the exhibition features various agricultural machinery used in agricultural activities, including agricultural machinery, solar-powered pumps, crop dryers, power tillers, large tractors, and attached implements. Farmers will have the opportunity to take their time to study the machinery they are interested in.
Additionally, introductory demonstrations of agricultural machinery will be conducted, and services such as selling to farmers at affordable prices and through installment payment systems will be provided.
Subsequently, Director-General of the Department of Agricultural Mechanization U Kyaw Tun Aye and Association Chairman U Naing Oo explained and presented details regarding the organization of the exhibition and ongoing operations.
Furthermore, Farmers Choice Tractor Co., Ltd. donated two Sonalika large tractors and two attached implements, Myanmar Empire Co., Ltd. donated one large tractor made in Belarus and one attached implement and Mandalar Shwe Thiha Co., Ltd. donated one locally produced Front Dozer for use with a Sonalika 90HP tractor to the Union Minister, who in return presented commemorative certificates.
After the opening ceremony, the Union Ministers and responsible officials toured the displayed agricultural machinery exhibition halls and observed the practical demonstrations of plowing and cultivation using agricultural machinery, it’s reported.
