Campaign for Successful Election: MOI UM led campaign with film and music artists

Voting is the exercise of citizens' national duty. In order to build a stronger future through elections, the Ministry of Information, in collaboration with the Nay Pyi Taw Council, Region/State Governments, is currently organizing and implementing nationwide a Campaign to successfully hold the 2025 Multi-Party Democracy General Election.

On December 22, Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn, along with responsible officials, modern bands and staff vocalists from (MRTV), and renowned film and music artists, conducted a public awareness campaign at the City Hall in Pyin Oo Lwin, Mandalay Region, to promote the successful holding of the 2025 Multi-Party Democracy General Election.

During this event, information and public relations personnel distributed "Let's Vote Together" awareness pamphlets to department staff from Pyin Oo Lwin District and Township, Township elders and social organizations, students, and local residents who attended.

First, the video clip "Towards the Goal Forward" produced by MRTV was screened. Following that, Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn delivered a speech. In his address, he urged everyone to freely cast their votes to choose individuals who can work for the benefit of their region in the Multi-Party Democracy General Election to be held on December 28, and to collectively contribute towards the successful holding of the election.

Subsequently, the Union Minister donated 30 MRTV DTH dish sets and 20 DVB-T2 Set Top Boxes for Pyin Oo Lwin District, which were received by the District Administrative Officer.

Afterwards, the entertainment program commenced. Students from Pyin Oo Lwin Basic Education High School No. (2), performed with the song "May Myo (or) Pyin Oo Lwin." Continuing, film and music artists and vocalists from MRTV performed together with the modern music band from MRTV. The attending staff, students, and local residents also joyfully participated by singing and dancing along, offering their enthusiastic support.

For these performance groups, the Mandalay Region Government and the Pyin Oo Lwin District Administrative Body presented honorariums, which were handed over by the District Administrative Officer and Township elders. Earlier in the morning, the Union Minister and officials, together with the artists, also visited the National Kandawgyi Gardens in Pyin Oo Lwin, it’s learnt.
