Monthly Healthcare Services: Sagaing Region CM attended the event

The Sagaing Region Government held a ceremony to provide health check-ups and distribute basic food commodities to retired civil servants within the region on December 22 at the Chindwin Hall in Monywa, Sagaing Region. Sagaing Region Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw attended the ceremony.

First, the retired civil servants attending the ceremony were welcomed and served with morning coffee and snacks. The Region Chief Minister; the Patron of the Region Mother and Child Welfare Supervision Committee, the wife of the Region Chief Minister; members of the Region Government and their wives cordially greeted and spoke with the retired civil servants from various departments across the region. Together with the responsible officials, they personally presented nutritional supplement chicken eggs to 850 retired civil servants.

Subsequently, the Region Chief Minister and responsible officials observed and encouraged the health screening and treatment services being provided inside the hall by the Monywa District Public Health Department to the retired civil servants. These services included screenings and treatments for diabetes, hypertension, neurological and muscular disorders, heart disease, and cough and asthma-related illnesses. Necessary arrangements related to the treatment services were coordinated and fulfilled in collaboration with the responsible officials.

Furthermore, the Region Chief Minister and the responsible officials toured the hall's compound to observe the stalls where the Region Consumer Affairs Department, the Development Affairs Committee, and the Township General Administration Department were selling basic food commodities such as rice, cooking oil, and vegetables to the retired civil servants at affordable prices.

It is reported that the Sagaing Region Government will continue to provide monthly health check-ups and basic food commodities to retired civil servants within the region.
