






Likewise, the 5th Cherry Blossom Festival, jointly organized by Shan State Government and the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism, will be held in Loi Mwe of Shan State (East).
With the aims for development of region’s tourism and preservation of local cherry flowers, the festival is set to be held from 24 to 26 December. The cherry blossom festivel has been held annually since 2022. During the festival, various traditional ethnic songs and performances from ethnic literature and cultural troupes will be featured, along with the display of local souvenirs, food, wine and MSME local products.
Loi Mwe is the only place in Myanmar where visitors can enjoy the cluster of cherry blossom. More cherry trees have been planted along the road sides to Loi Mwe Hill Station, while carrying out the preservation works. Situated over 5,500 above feet Sea Level, Loi Mwe Hill Station attracts many visitors during cherry blossom season.
In addition to the cherry blossom, people can visit other famous destinations such as the significant Loi Mwe lake and Centennnial Mansion.
