Terrorists Act : Six civilians killed in Mahlaing Township

Six civilians, including a midwife providing healthcare services, were killed in separate attacks in Mahlaing Township of Mandalay Region on December 19.

The victims included a village administrator and his wife from Laegyi Village, three local shop owners from Myetthikyin  (North) Village, and a midwife from the Rural Health Center in Yonetaw  Village.

It is reported that they were gunned down by the PDF terrorists while they were at their homes. Security forces are working with local residents to identify and arrest those responsible and have increased security measures in the area. Local communities have condemned the attacks, citing losses to social, economic, and health services.
