Fresher Welcoming: Fresher welcoming ceremony held in UVS

The University of Veterinary Science held its 2025–2026 academic year Fresher Welcoming Ceremony on the morning of December 18 at the university’s premises in Yezin, Zeyarthiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw.

During the ceremony, Deputy Minister for the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, Dr. Aung Gyi, delivered a speech. In his address, he encouraged students to strive to become outstanding human resources capable of contributing significantly to the country's food security and nutritional well-being, as well as to the export sector, which is based on livestock farming. He also urged them to continuously keep up with evolving new technologies, conduct research beneficial to the livestock sector, achieve good results, and work toward shaping and creating a better future.

Following the speech, students from the University of Veterinary Science performed songs, and a fresher representative extended words of thanks.
