Presenting Letter of Credence: Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam presented

Mr. Haji Mohamad Sarif Pudin bin Matserudin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Brunei Darussalam to Myanmar, presented his Letter of Credence to the Acting President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, at 11:00 a.m. at the Credentials Hall of the National Defence and Security Council Office in Nay Pyi Taw.

Following the presentation, cordial discussions were held on matters related to strengthening friendship and cooperation between the two countries; reciprocal goodwill visits by national leaders; prospects for enhancing cooperation in the education, defence, tourism, and aviation sectors; humanitarian assistance; Myanmar’s adherence to the ASEAN Charter within the ASEAN framework and its non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries; plans to hold a free and fair multi-party democratic general election in Myanmar; and the invitation of international election observer missions.

After the meeting, the Acting President and the SSPC Chairman and the Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam to Myanmar posed for a group documentary photograph.
